Lots and lots of tyres for you to wear out. Spend money on tyres not upgrades.

For tight track, stock 16/20 pinions on 49 1st gear spur works good for me.

For big track, try 18/22 and look for smallest 2nd gear spur. I have 45, I know they use 44 on reflex, but not sure if kyosho has a 44. The guys overseas apparently can get a 43 from aftermarket.

Cyrul runs 23/44 when at the cincinnatti track on his reflex, but don't know when they are going to make that pinion.
My v1rr grp version comes with 16/19 and 44/48...And its kyosho has the 44..i have 4 of them in my tool box..i'll try the 18/22 this coming race...160ft of straight..wonder whether my x12 can handle or not

I would say good, strong universals are very helpful seeing as how that's the only part I've ever had a problem with on the car. Dogbones do have a tendency to come out.

second that on tires though, buy tires and springs and oils. If you want a hop-up, buy a second set of shocks so you can switch setups quickly.

I'm using kyosho orange and kyosho green on my V1R that handles the best. gold and silver are are on the RR. I used to use reflex springs too but I don't anymore.
