I already posted this on the HPI Forum but they are butthurt from some joker so they closed the forums.
tape it then use bicycle inner tire cut out section to wrap it together with the battery holder then mount the whole thing on to the upper deck.

Default Pipe mount wire coming loose

Ok my next problem that I've been having is the pipe mounting wire keeps coming loose. What and how do you guys use to keep your pipe held in place?

You are a problem guy. J/K Anyway, the best solution of your problem is to get a aluminum pipe mounting wire holder w/ spring wire. Mine is made by 5 stars and it holds the pipe very well.

Hey kid, I'm not sure if I'm right to say this put no point spending a gran of your parent's and give up this hobby because of lack of knowledge of the whole matter in sometime... If you are really interested in RC, then start with something simple and most importantly cheap...

Perhaps a recommendation would be something like the mini z or even the new HPI Micro RS4...that's if your parents agree to that! Those kit might be small, but they will provide the basics to your driving...

Well if those are too much for you still, get something from Nikko or Taiyo...that's if these brands are still around!... I started off driving with them too! But that's more than 20 years back!!

RE: Pipe coming loose.......

Faction, remember the collets with the allen key nut that u used to have to tighten on the older nitro cars to get the springs on the throttle right for the carby openings? Why not try to use on of those on top of the pipe over the wire to hold it? (if the wire is small enough in diameter......)

I'm running on high traction...red springs up front and yellow rear... those are available with Kyosho...Black sway bar...
I'm running Sorex 36, but if needed, I'll run 32...

The red springs are 0.1 more than the standard Gold of 1.6 and the yellow rear is the old FW04 spring...slightly harder than the Black but softer than the Gold...

Easy there Mauler. Its not totally from hitting the walls, its from other people hitting me as well. So what you are saying is that you drive so perfectly that it never happens to you?
