nothing wrong with the integy ones that are 29.99, but they aren't ROAR legal cause they make >200mm width. The other integy that are legal are weak, I think they are the same as 3 racing universals and they bend ez. The kyosho ones are the best Roar legal ones but they cost $$$$.

hey man, if you want a cooling head don't get the zac, get the one from crazy nut racing. I'm telling you, you will be absolutely amazed at how cool this thing will keep your engine/chassis. Matter of fact I think it might work too well I had to change my plug to get my engine to run right it was so cool.

I have the Zac head and it works nicely. You can actually overcool the engine. Most engines actually have a temperature band in which they work optimally, if you go under that temp you lose power. The only time you really want better cooling is if you cannot lean the needles sufficiently for maximum power due to overheating. After saying all that running on the cooler side for the engine will not hurt it as much as running on the hot side

Most of the people I have seen running the front oneways seem to be running diffs, but running them quite locked up. The biggest problem I have heard is that on long sweeping turns you can actually lose corner speed with a solid rear over a diff and also the solid rear requires you to drive very aggressively which over a long main can have rear tire and fuel implications.

you know I think I might have to agree with AMG on this one. The crazy nut head is boderline on works too well and may keep the engine too cool in certain conditions. Dead of Summer in the U.S. South - it's going to be a great tool. However, in medium to cool weather you can't just keep leaning the engine out and make it faster just cause it's not getting hot, the engine still needs a certain amount of fuel for a given air volume. With the crazy nut head on I couldn't get a JP engine to over 160 until I changed plugs went to 30% and tightened the centax.

I dunno. Why purchase an oversized head at all if that's the case?

AMG, you recommended the Manticore RB X12 modified engine. I was wondering, how are they different exactly to the standard engines and are Manticore and JP company's that modify factory engines? Also are these modified engines harder to maintain/tune? I'm new to this so please bear with me... thanks

oh, and where on the web could i go to get more info on manticore and jp modified engines?

most modified engines have ported crackshafts that are lighter, different timming of air/fuel flow which can increase fuel efficency and make the engine more powerful
i dont think they are harde to maintain and tune unless u use a turbo glowplug, thats when it gets real frustrating
hope this helps
