You should have seen my worst hit!! I was going top speed at the end of the straight which ends in a chicane. Misjudged the entry and the front right wheel took the full impact (no brakes or steering!) of a 4 x 2 inch board impact. Amazingly there was absolutely no damage to the car!! I did pop off the steering linkage which ended my race as it could not be found for a while, but I was impressed. This car is tough.

Nitro Dave, yeah let me know how you go. I am off next week, holidays , but I will be in Pennant Hills the week after........

nope that is not what i mean, i just say alot of people have use lola body ...
but if u use the lola body u have to use the short shock mount.
which limited the postion of the mounting of the shocks.

Well, I guess you should know that running a lola is quite different from that of running a sedan...especially where the setup is concerned...
In fact, our pure tens are getting more and more similiar to the 1/8th...in terms of architecture and design... so I was just having the lola on and we'll like to know how close it'll be...
Anyway, thanks for the information provided...

Running a Lola body is another fun. I am more then reluctant to go back to seden body after I run the Lola body for a couple of months. If most of the people here run the Lola and if you dont, you lose the edge. Next I am going to run foam !!!!!

Default Mounting the Battery ?

I have tried to mount the battery with tape like the instruction manual suggests but it comes apart and then the battery jiggles around in the car. What do you guys use to mount the battery to the upper deck?

I already posted this on the HPI Forum but they are butthurt from some joker so they closed the forums.

it will be close...
very agressive driving
it actually make your turn in much more faster..
your setup might have to be stiffer than what u use on sedan.

I personally hate Lola bodies, but you need to run them at our track to be competitive.

Most people agree at our track, which is fast sweeping track, that the Lola body chops off 0.5sec-0.75sec off your lap times (average lap about 21sec)

I use servo tape to stick the battery to the tray and glass tape to wrap around them.
