hey guys, i'm really stuck on a question, i already have an os 12tr from my NTC3,(i only sold the chassis) and i was wondering if i should sell the O.S. 12TR an go for an rb concept X-12, which by everyone, seems quite popular and powerful, but is the os 12tr enough to push the v one rr 55mph?
i mean, in a ntc3 i could hit 50mph easily, but i think it's because the "freeness" of the drivetrain, so what i'm pretty much asking, is an O.S. 12TR powerful enough to hang with all the other top of the line .12 enigines out there?

the v one rr will go 50-55mph with a os tr depending on the gearing, the rb x12 will make the car go faster due to the higher hp and rpm

will these two engines last as long as eachother or will one die before the other, and the os 12tr is quite easy to tune, is the x-12 also easy to tune?

an OS engine is easier to tune then the rb engine but the rb engine lasts 6-10 gallons on the same piston and sleeve if the engine is maintained right and not abused

If you put the wide shafts and hex on you will be able to easily fit 32-34mm. On the RR the 35mm foams will fit, but you will have to trim some even with the wide parts to get 35mm on a regular VoneR. At least I did. Of course you can use the wide parts with any smaller wheels like 28mm or whatever if you like.

My race was so, so. I won F1 with my corally, got a New Reedy pack, 50 dollar gift certificate and trophy for the win.

nitro different story. I got punted clean off the track by the same ntc3 out of the lead in qualifying and out of 2nd in the main. Getting punted was my fault though, I couldn't get a decent carb tune all weekend on any of my cars. The RR was was awesome handling first time out, but couldnt' keep the collari running more than 3 minutes. My trusty stock VoneR was on complete rails, but humidity was 95% and It would get hot too after 4 minutes and lose big power. The only reason I got punted was because slower guys were able to catch me on the str8s after my tune was off. When running The R and the RR were definitely faster than everything out there , save one ntc3 (vast majority of cars were ntc3). I am 100% convinced the ntc3 has nothing on a well setup, well-driven v1r - my engine tuning skills let me down. The guy who won drove a ntc3 only because his GT4 was broke, he's even faster in his yokomo but I could drive his pace with the R, none of the other ntc3's could. It's just a matter of time before the R is the king of hill at our track.
