Another question for you all.... The same friend has recently had a mate of his make up for him some alloy shafts for the car. Do you think that this will give any signifigant advantage?????
Would it alter the rolling mass of the car much?

The reduction in drive tranny weight the more efficient on power. It is proven that if you are able to reduce 1g from the drive tran, it is much better for you to reduce 10g of overall weight of the car.

Does anyone know of a good site which contains all of the hopups for the V One R, genuine Kyosho ones that is. The two Kyosho sites don't seem to have this info. Part numbers would be nice as well

I must say HPI does a better job of marketing their hopups

OK let me ask what are the MUST HAVE hopups.

I have the standard (non-foam) version with no hopups at all. It handles very well and I don't seem to be getting any traction rolls.

Any suggestions. I am thinking of swaybars, and mayby some of the different types of diffs. I dont like aluminium parts much.

You should work on to lighten the drive tranny. the upper graphite deck. alloy wheel hex.

Almost all the available hop ups have their function. However, some of them just give a little bit of advantage.

If you don't want to spend a lot of $$$ at the first time, you can get these hop up first. They are the most useful IMHO.

Sway bar front and rear
7075 chassis
graphite upper deck
Front universals

i would say the most usefull upgrades which im now buying are;

* front uni's
* alloy wheel hex hubs - i rounded off a couple at a meeting not long ago

sway bars were the first items i got to wash off a bit of steering and help with traction problem i had

Alloy wheel hex hubs are good, but they screwed up my nylon rims. The hex place got rounded off!
