Best .12 engine? in your opinion
 

Guys im currently using a RB V15 engine in my R40, its powerful, its torquey its freakin fast the problem is its killing the competition! I mean my frens are all on .12 engines, im on a .15 they said im bullish, they joke with me "Yeah ur V15 is fast but try a .12 & race us again if u dare". As a guy i've to answer their challenge so im thinking about swapping a .12 engine.

Here is my question what is the best .12 engine in you opinion to buy out there? I mean best not just in terms of performance, rather a combination of power, torque, reliability & price / value for money / bang for buck.

The engines im interested in are RB V12, OS 12TZ, Mugen Ninja .12, LRP Z12, any other suggestions are always welcomed. Thanx in advance guys.

No tell them if they were real men they would put .15's in their cars instead of running pantywaist .12's:D

i really like how this thing is made and how it runs

just hope it last long but im very happy right now with it.

If you are a nova preference.

Nova MAX or JP is also good.

if you can get a hold of the novarossi 353, get it. Murnan has them in stock and the motor is fasst and reliable as any other motor out there. Otherwise the novarossi 12 plus 3sct.

i always used modified engine.

OS 12TZ is top in high speed.

But it had some weak durability compare to Novarossi (especially con-rod)

i like the new rb matrix it is fast lots of bottom andable to pull on the top

Thats exactly what I thought when im buying my .15 :lol:
.15s really does make .12s look like pansies but since almost every 1 at my area are using .12s I just dont like to be left out of the crowd

Oh yeah wat about Sirios? are they fast? but I heard they're not very reliable is it true?

If money is not a problem, then look at the 12+3CT and have it modified.
I bought the new 12+3CT, and had it modified by Maxy of Maxeys fuel, and I have yet to see another 12 pull as hard, and have so much power.
But when you modify it, and then purchase the new conical header, and Novarossi "baseball" pipe, it does not come cheap.
The 12+3 was around $400.00, mods were $125.00,header around $70.00, pipe was around $80.00, plus I bought the new lighten clutch bell, and clutch, with new pinions. So I have right around $750.00 in the engine,pipe,header,clutch bell and clutch assembly.
I broke the engine in, and ran it for a short while, and then pulled it out cleaned it,ready to go for a race. I use other Novarossi engines for club racing.
But the Serios,Picos,JB engines, just to name a few, are all good fast reliable engines. With a good 12 engine and the right combo of header and pipe,you can really put a hurt on just about any 15 out there.

i have 2 evo3
ran them last year but i made the mistake of under gearing them and broke the cranks on them,my fault i think,

but i do like them

nova and nova base motors are good,i have them, my fave was the LL3
and jp max there all good but i stay away from mod motors now,tho there is a jp stock

os broke 3 of them,dont like them at all.

but like i said the ninja is so easy to tune and runs so nice its my fave.
and you dont need a mugen to run it.:lol:

The best modified .12 engine I have tested to date is the Murnan Mod Novarossi LS3. And believe me I have tested ALOT of engines!

It kills the LL3, +12-sct, Sirio evo3, OS Speed 12, CRF12, and all others stock and mod.

And the best thing is it is reasonably priced!
