Ok guys, Sh!t stops here
I do have a question. I have been running MT-12 for 2 seasons,
and its compression is not at its best. At the moment I am able
to get a new Nova Mega SX-12 RE Turbo MS @ the same price as a new MT-12. Just wondering if any of you have experience or heard anything good/bad about that motor. I assume it's power is comparable to the Novarossi RS-12T........ Thanks for any input

Where on the car do you accuratly measure the width of the cars front and rear track??? Do you measure with the wheels on?? Do you measure to the spindle?? or the end of the Uprights?

Default droop

How do you guys set your droop (down stops) and how long are your shockabsorbers, mainly on the rear as i have trouble with a loose rear end

VinDollar

It depends on why you are measuring. If all you are concerned about is having things equal on both sides, you should measure to the edge of the knuckles. If you need to be within width limits, you'll need to include the wheels in the total width.

Cartman

I race on a track with tons of grip, so I run with very little droop. If you are trying to keep the back end from coming around, try laying your rear shocks down all the way and standing the fronts up all the way if you are using the stock springs. You should push with it like this. If so, stand the rear shocks up one notch at a time and/or lay the front shocks down one notch at a time until you get the balance you are looking for.

they are the same thing except the black plate and carb.

they share the same piston/sleeve, crankshaft and crankcase.

Hi Manticore:

Thank you for the information !
Here when you refer to "they" do you mean "SX-12T MS vs. MT-12" or "SX-12T MS vs. RS-12T" ? I am guessing you mean the later but just want to make sure.

I checked out your team website. very cool ! I saw you have mid
one-way for the MTX-2 what does that give you in addition to the front one-way ? more speed in off-power steering ?

Also, do you know anyone has run the new Kawahara upper deck with different layout ? what's your impression ?

Thanks again !

they = novamega MS and RS12T

I am using the 5 stars upper deck and i think it is the best so far. the kawahara ones (new/old) are not as good.

ernestf has both the new and old kawahara decks and i think he can tell you which one he like most.

I use both one-way when i was running rubber tire. I dropped the mid oneway when I switched to foam tire.
