Thanks again guys, but after reading the posts about overall width, I guess I'll stick with the 26mm tires. Right now, my car is 200mm rear, 199mm front with Yok 26mm foams. Granted, I could adjust the pillow balls to compensate some for wider tires, but not enough to keep the car legal. And I'm not putting out the $$ for the Kawahara conversion. There's a couple of tracks I run at that pay CLOSE attention to car widths. I'd like to keep my car legal (even on tracks that don't tech) so that I don't have to keep changing things every time I go to a different track.

The funny thing is, they are ANAL about some specs, but no one has ever pulled apart my engine to see if it was legal. I put a stock cooling head on my RTU and everyone assumes it's a stock engine. I'm thinking about running my "Richey" head at those tracks this year, to see if anyone wants to tear down the engine. But if they wouldn't let me run, it would probably start a war. And, yes Dennis, I know it's technically legal, but we both know how some guys are about your engines.

Default CAr width

what did I do wrong?? I thought I set the car to 200mm, granted it was converted from mm to inches... so the set up should have been close....

but when I found my metric ruler and checked... I was off almost 10mm... How should trhe measurement for 200mm be taken?? from the outside of the rims??

I was doing the serpent Impact style set up with blank foamy rims and a HUDY tool to confirm...

Aside from the width being off everything else is dead on...

Thanks

Rich

Good point!!! the rims are OFNA 0 offset dish rims for sedan foams. The measurement is from outside edge to outside edge of the rims... I have to measure the pivots...

Now where did I place my calipers.......

To all Mugen experts, I have the MRX2/MTX2 centax clutch. I am trying to fit this clutch to a standard shaft engine. The nut which holds the flywheel on does not fit on to the standard shaft engine. Is there a clutch nut option which will allow this to work?

When you say standard shaft engine I guess you mean the short shaft engines ie. for OS engines etc. You have to remove the threaded insert from the shaft, also the front bearing cover to expose the front bearing. Then you have to buy a new Mugen shaft end which will convert your short shaft into an SG shaft.

Not meaning to be rude but I think Manticore was asking if you like it or not! Do you like it?
Is there something wrong with standard 2 speed? I take it these new 2 speeds are just improving 2nd gear engagement, correct?
