the upperdeck is made by 5stars...a famous Japanese brand for hopups. dont think there is a website for the company...you can see their ads in Japanese RC mags though.

A friend of mine might have a used one for sell! if you really want one I might be able to hook you up!

Oh one more area that I like the 5star upperdeck is where the front bulkhead mounting, it has one more piece of carbon fiber piece to reinforce it, and makes it no flex when you are trying to twist the whole chassis!

let me know!

Thanks for the offer ah10 i'm going to try to get it new maybe from a H.K store but if all else fails i'll check back with you.I take it there's no mods required for it to fit,i noticed next to that extra piece you're talking about there is a bit taken off your front bulkhead in the picture?

That's it! also the receiver tray had an excellent design too! all the wires sits on top of the receiver instead of hanging down like all the other upperdeck for every cars in the market so u dont have to worry about one wire felt off and peel the insulation and short anything!

Guys,

I have not been racing nitro since the MTX3 has been released.

How much faster is the new car than the MTX2?

Do I have to buy one to be competitive, or will a dialed MTX2 still keep up?

Thanks,

Hyper,

There are quite a few setups posted in this thread. I know it's a pain in the a$$, but you're going to have to scan the thread. Most of us that ran the MTX-2 have gotten an MTX-3.

Stefan,
I have not been able to put my MTX-3 on the ground yet because of the weather, so I can't say from first hand experience. HOWEVER, from what people have told me and what I have read on various forums, the MTX-3 is more stable (thus making it faster) than the MTX-2. Despite the final results at the Winternats, The MTX-3 is THE CAR. You can't go by those results anyway. Most of us "average" racers are nowhere close to those drivers, so in my opinion, a properly setup MTX-2 is just as potent as the MTX-3, Serpent 705, NTC3, etc on the club/regional race scene.
