Which gears?

I noticed I need new pinions though. All worn out. Could that be it?

I never put a gease in my bearings. They make honking noises when you try to jam them in.

Ok no grease but you need to put on your old man glasses. You're skipping letters in the words you type.

Now waiting for Novarossi to give me a scolding.

At least it doesn't squeal like a pig. It just burps fuel all over you when you try to prime it.

the greese is your problem that greese is for other 1 way bearings like front 1 way and 1 way pullies now the 2 speed 1way works well with a good quality motor oil like mobil 1 or slick50. make sure that you clean every bit of greese out if the 1 way. Motor spray works well for that and some time for the greese that is very hard to ger out i had to soak mine in tide over night and rinsed it out with hot water then sprayed it with motor spray and re oil it and it workes better than new

sydewynder: Sounds like the 1 way is having problems. My super acted like the clutch was slipping and worked great in 2nd when that 1 way died. Used the HPI greese in that. Use the Serpent 1 way lub they have for 1/8 scale. Smells and feels like kerosene. Works better than grease.

Just noticed a ?painted? spot on the shaft where the oneway bearing rides on. Anyone with a Kawahara shoe type 2 speed shaft? Can you see if yours have to dark gray/black spot?

Thanks all for the replies and suggestions.

antoniop: Nice car. I run the Kawahara brake and deck also. Try mounting an Ofna brick pack on the chassis behind the pipe mount. Then remove the hump pack and install the radio there. Lowers CG and gets radio inboard

Sydewynder: I have the Kawahara 2 speed and no spot on the shaft on mine.
