Default pro spec with rs12t

I purchased my pro spec from speedtech two weeks ago. THe website said it comes with a mt12 but when it got here it came with the rs12t. Not knowing anybetter i didn't think there was a difference. I'm not to picky so it didn't bother me when i conclusively determined that the mt12 and rs12t were not the same. I thought that speedtech just didn't have anymore mt12s.

The new pro-spec kits are coming with the RS12T. I didn't know they had been released yet, but you can't go wrong with either engine. The catch is that the RS12T isn't legal for sanctioned racing (YET), until they finalize the rules for a 200mm Outlaw class. Check with your local race rules.

It's available now. If you're in SoCal, you can get it at Elite, SpeedTech and Ultimate.

Yes Crystal Park is a very high speed track, I am running 18/47 with 21/42 with RBX12T5 port and honest to god I could hit top speed towards the end of the straight away every single lap!
mugen produces 18/21 pinions and 42/47 spurs?

Yep..It's been so long since I had the stock clutch on mine, I can't remember the exact pinions available. However, there are a multitude of pinions available for the axial clutch system, including the 18/21. You can even put a 22t or 23t from Yokomo on it. The 47t spur is an option part by Mugen and easily accessible. Mugen does not make a 42t spur, but there are a couple of aftermarket places that do. I have one from Powerline that I use for the really big tracks. Man does it make a difference!!

Yes Mugen does make 18 and 21 pinions, but I think it is from Advance or something like that! In fact first gear mugen has pinion from 16 to 18 and second gear from 19 to 22.

On the spur side first gear mugen parts has 47 to 49 and second gear from 43 to 45.

Oh I gave you some wrong information the other day I was running 21/42 on second but my bad I was going to change it back to 22/42 for better top speed but when I took it apart it was already 22/42! and the 42 spur that I am using is made by Racing Jack, delrin spur gears.
