Default Time for an upgrade - MTX3 or MTX4-R?

Guys,

I'm looking at changing brands from Kyosho to Mugen, to a higher spec car.

My choices are either a new MTX4-r kit, or a second hand MTX3 deal, for roughly the same price.

For the deal, I get 3 complete cars, minus engines and electronics, and heaps of spares, and obviously with the kit I get the car and nothing else.

Is it worth going for the older car, and hoping I can get spares, when needed in the future, or buy a new MTX4-R and be able to get spares easily?

I'm torn as to what to do, as the MTX-3 seems like a sweet deal.

MTX3 spares don't seem to be as easy to get as the MTX4, especially at LHS

Any help is muchly appreciated, especially if you have had experience with both cars.

Cheers
Ash

Dude, trust me on this one, get an MTX 4R (or an NT1 ) they are awesome cars. MTX 3 is very out dated and will soon be discontinued if not already!

Default Mtx3

The mtx3 is still a very good car. I would say that you would be happy with the mtx3. Alot of the parts from the 4 will fit the 3.

Go with the MTX-4. I had a simular decision between a mtx-3 prospec with tons of spares or a new mtx-4. Well I went with MTX-3 prospec I only drove the car for one race season and then I bought the x4 the X4 handles alot better than the x3 as far as the spare parts Mugens really don't break alot of parts. When I sold the x3 It still had 98% of the spare parts that came with it.
