Default Nitro cleaner

I've got some cleaner called Nitro Cleaner and i've been using it to clean he chassis of my car. my question is how safe is it to use on other parts? can i spray the engine and pipe with it as long as the cleaner doesnt get into the engine? Also is it safe on plastic parts? the directions say to spray on all moving parts, but i want to be safe.

Default Nitro cleaner

If it sold by an R/C car company it SHOULD be safe. Read the back of the can and it will tell you if it's plastic safe.

I use straight Methanol in a spray bottle for cleaning my Nitro Cars & Trucks. Cheap at $9 a Gallon.

Default Methanol for Nitro Wash

Most larger Hobby shops that carry Airplane Fuel should have it. Should be less than $10 usd a Gallon. Considering that Traxxas Nitro Wash is $6.95 for a Quart Spray bottle. I haven't seen any difference in cleaning between the two.

PS: Please don't Drink and clean!
