Default Max HP , RPM and Speed

Hello guys , i am "EP" person , so i am more than alittle noob on gas powered R/C.

so i would like someone to answer me some questions

1/10 scale

max Hp of a motor (i think that would be a 12 right?) =
max RPM of a motor =
and max km/h at official race =

and the same things for 1/8 scale

max HP of a motor ( 21 maybe ?) =
max RPM =
and top speed , Km/h also at official race =

also the brand of these motors

thanks

post the names of the motors you are looking at. But in general a .12 will be rated 1.0-1.6 HP. .21's runs somewhere around 2.4-2.9 HP roughly. Rpm in the 36,000-45,000 range.

Check the company web sites.

I got clocked at the 2006 great lakes race at 63mph. It was with a mega zx12 Maxy modified motor. It was the faster .12 motor in the sedan class.

Default MPH

At the nats last year the 8th scales were 67 mph at the end of the straight. I think the 10th scales are 3 to 4 mph slower.

Bud teh speed these cars can attain is limited by the length of the longest straight on any track and the gearing used.
Im sure if wanting pure speed these cars can be geared for a lot higher speeds.Wouldnt be surprised a 1/8 car could do around 130/140kph with ease
I know with telemetry we worked out a buddies Mugen to be doing around 115kph in a parking lot with a Wasp CRF.

At the 1/8 EC of 2002, at the end of the backstraight, the fastest cars were clocked at 116Km/hr... so the max speed is relative to many variables, the most powerful engine doesn't warrants you the fastest speed at the speedtrap.

These questions are unanswerable. Based on gearing and length of straight away it can vary quite a lot! If someone was going for speed. There has been records of over 100 mph. This was quite some time ago. So if you really wanted to go for speed im sure these cars can go well over 120mph.

Again this car would be slower to accelerate , but the questions your asking are just unanswerable. Same goes for an electric car. Dependant on gearing an weight of the car you can get a wide range of top speeds.

Guys first of all i asked HP and torque and Top speed at 3 different questions! just to know the numbers!!

Off course there are other variables!!

Also artificial i wanted to know the fastest car at an OFFICIAL race so in this question there is only one answer and there aren't other variables!!

just think which is the track with the longer straight ( i am sorry but i don't know about international tracks) and then i will found out the speed record of the track for 1/8 and 1/10!!

thanks for your answers guys!!

Do you know how many official races there are per year along with how many tracks there are out there? The answer is not going to be achievable.

Also if you know there are many variable , then why ask? The answer you have is for a certain track. Also someone who geared higher that day might get a higher top speed just because of their gearing and not motor power. Better yet the body might have been more aerodynamic , with less wing which could also let it achieve a higher top speed. Somewhere it could have been cool or lower to sea level etc etc.

Not all tracks clock speeds either. Im not trying to say your question is dumb...its just not answerable in the sense that youll get info thats truly worth saying this is how fast they go. Its a general answer. Not accurate one. So the information you think you might have gotten is not really relevant.

Granted if all tracks did have a database and we knew which track has the longest straight perhaps. But im pretty sure no one knows this information.

I am going to explain what exactly i am asking , because you may didn't understand!!

The questions are Six
1. The max torque of a (production not prototypes) motor for 1/10 , so is probably 12 size engine , right?
2. The max HP of a (productio not prototype ) engine for 1/10 , so probably is a 12 size engine (not neccesary the same as above)
3. The top speed of an 1/10 size car at an official race , so the speed record is probably of someone famous like Top drivers of A main ( not neccesary the above engines)
also in a race that 10 TOP drivers will fight for the first place NOONE can use a gearing that is too different , if he did then he probably lost the first place but i can use his speed record.

4. same as 1 but for 1/8
5. same as 2 but for 1/8
6. same as 3 but for 1/8

My friend you are talking about variables when someone run his car at a california's 10km straight. I am just talking for tracks , ( i don't know which track has the longest straight) that i imagine the longest straight is about 100 ,metres , right? if i am wrong correct me , i will appreciate it !!

I think that the guys that replied first understood what i was talking about!!
