What is the race format going to be...? 5 or 10 minutes qualifier..(I heard it might be 10 minutes)? 3 rounds on SAT (or 4?) and 1 round on Sunday (or none)before MAIN...? Or it will be SAT morning decision base on the turn out....thanks.

10 minutes qualifiers
# of qualifiers base on number of entries
(most likely 3 on Sat and 1 on Sunday)

Does anyone know if there is a recommended hotel to stay at (closest / good price / ability to back up to the door / etc...)?

Liesure Hours forum has a link to all the hotels in Joliet, but that doesn't tell you if one is a better choice than another. Thanks

Greg

You can go south to Morris on 47 go east on I-80 to I-55 south. On I-55 south you will come to rt 6 first. you will see the manor inn to your left. keep going south on I-55 pass Bluff to Arsenal rd. it's right after the big bridge. Go east (right) on arsenal road. Watch for cops. About a mile or so you will see a road to the left (Millsdale) it is a road to the left only. (also a big sign "Steppan") after a mile Millsdale will turn right before going into Steppan. a half a mile and a left turn only will be be( Millsdale ext) Turn left. You will go 3/4 of a mile and this road will turn right and it is a sharp right. another 1/4 mile you'll see Vetter road also a left only road. going left (North) on Vetter to Schweitzer Rd Left on schweitzer (west) for 1/4 of a mile. we are on the left. You can also follow the sign's to CPX as they are across the street.

Default Registration

Is it possible to sign up on the day of the race? I'm making some last minute decisions to come down and race but was wondering if I can register early Saturday morning?

Thanks,
Michael

I tried to mapquest some directions and there is no 2800 schweitzer rd, Joliet, IL 60436. For Leisure hours I get a raceway on Brian Dr. and a hobby shop on Plainfield Rd. Where's the track??? Can someone post a link for mapquest directions to the track?

Thanks,
Paul

Glad to see you can make it....you were so close last year, hopefully this year is the one...

I can post it again here...

From North or South or West
I-55 to Arsenal Road (Exit 245)

Aresenal Road (Exit 245)(turn right) east to Millsdale Road
turn Left (North) on Millsdale(towards Stephen Chemical).

About a mile, then Millsdale does a little RH jog near
Stephan chemicl plant entrance, so hang a right, then a little ways
(about 1/4 mile) you have to turn left (first street on left) on Millsdale north, for about
1/2 mile. Then it takes a sharp turn to the RH About 1/4 mile to Vetter Road.(take left)

Vetter Road North to Scweitzer

Take a left on Schweitzer
Track Facility is on the left.

Remember, Leisure Hours raceway is right across the street from that popular paint-ball gun place, Xtreme Challenge Park.

They have lots of signs pointing you to their facility, so if you follow the signs to XCP (or something very similar to that abreviation on their signs... might say CPX for Challenge Park Xtreme, I can't remember), you'll find Leisure Hours Raceway.

Holy sh!!!
I've been there a bunch of times, but I don't think I can find it again after reading those directions.
What's wrong with; getting off I80 at Chicago rd. Go south to Laraway, turn right (west) go to Patterson. Left on Patterson (south). Turn right at Swietzer (no street sign--look for grain silos on right). Go till you can't go anymore...
