MTX-3 2 Speed Unit Adjustment

I am currently building my kit, and am stuck.
Can someone please explain the diagram in manual on page 9 about the 2 speed housing on the MTX-3

I really don't understand the diagram, and also why is there 2 screws with springs? I have a MTX-2 which was much simpler.
Do I have to adjust 2 screws at the same time to adjust the timing of the two-speed?

Also finally is still the same technique :- Tighter the screw is, the later the car shifts into second?

Thanks for your help

Yes you have to adjust both screws. It is the same as the old one in terms of screw in to shift later...

Make sure you have both screws equally screwed in to start with.... screw all the way in then back out equaly. If you dont, the fly weights will not contact the drum evenly... which will cause slippage and wear unevenly
