Default Need HPI EVO3 fix tip

We are running a spec series HPI EVO 3 RTR (run the car out of the box). No hop-ups allowed. Tonight, lot's of racers had problems with the front dogbone popping out. What would be a good fix for that? Maybe adding a spacer (like tubing or a o-ring) on each end of the dogbone? Anyone ever experience this problem and solved it without having to put CVD's?

The o ring/tubing solution works well. Also turn down the steering throw (EPA). That's usually the main cause

Thanks A LOT.

Another problem I had yesterday. We are running x-patterns until we get our Spec Sorex 36 tires. The end of my car was sliding like crazy. Any quick fix for that.

I'll go at the Hobby Store right now and get what I need for the dogbone issue. I hope they allow us to use CVDs soon because the dogbones are a real pain in the ***.

Softer spring in the rear , lower the rear some , but no more than the front sets at , lighter diff oil in the rear , body that favors rear traction more and finally tire sauce. Trinity tweak or SXT works well. As well as lot of others from trinity for rubber tires in the rear like death traction.

No other parts than what the RTR comes with. It's Spec racing, everyone has the run the exact same equipment.

Use the 2 degree toe in setting for the rear. The kit comes built with 1 degree toe. Increase camber in rear. Stiffen the front shocks

You can also build your shocks as short as possible to get the ride height down lower. I'm sure if the EVO has enough shock mounting holes to get the ride height down to 5mm or so.

Where are you located? That spec series sounds fun.

It's a lot of fun. We are located in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada).
