Choices for 2.4ghz radios is getting interesting.
Ill wait for teh Nomadio stick radio to be released alternatively the Sanwa/Airtronics and Futaba units are also looking good since thay are based on Nomadio technology.

I think I'll stick with Ol' Faithful (my Helios). People may have differing opinions in regards to the design aesthetics but the comfort and programmability are more important. I'm sure this new DX3R radio will be a hit with some racers a flop with other racers. It's really all relative at the end of the day.

According to this (from horizon hobby's website), it should be:

"The Spektrum DX3R does what few thought possible before, and that is to improve upon Spektrumís patented 2.4GHz DSM technology. With the advent of the new DSM2 protocol, the DX3R and SR3100 provide hobbyists with the fastest, most precise, safest, and easiest-to-program radio system ever available. For existing Spektrum users, the DX3R is even compatible with previous generation receivers, providing an even greater value."

Sorry, but you are better off with the Nomadio React.... It will run the Nomadio transceivers and the Sepktrum recievers... All software upgradeable.... Spektrum has a lot of misinformation in their add...
