as the name implies, you use it after you've run your car.

you dont need it, but using it lengthens your engines life.

I use the after run oil at the end of the day and I put 3 to 5 drops in the carb and in the head were the plug goes. but if i am going racing the next day i only put a few drops in both places like 2 drops.

I put after run oil if i wont run the engine for a week or more. Before, i run my engine I richen all needles and run the car full throtle to clear the after run oil and at the same time clean the engine.

I use it mainly when I am about to store my car for 2 or more weeks. Right now I run it at least 2 days out of every week so I have not been using any. when the fuel dries out it usually becomes gummy and will cause the piston to not move freely in the sleeve therfore put after run oil in the motor. But on the other hand fuel has an oily base and does not dry out over night.
