Just wondering, which one will be faster?

The Spada? or My vintage EP Fantom on chain drive with Lipo and BL?

Guess I'll have to put one together to find out.

I know this is a Nitro forum but with the same car on Lipo and BL, it can probably run faster and longer than nitro with out the mess.

But chances are, this will also go RTR and the EP versions usually don't sell as well as the GP versions so thats why nitro is being promoted.

Not to knock EP R/C cars, but spectators are more impressed with NP.
The sounds & smell add to the visual experience of racing.

We hard core types realize that it’s not easy to drive 1/12 scale EP Mod cars but the spectators and future growth of our sport is with Nitro, it’s explosive excitement that draws the crowds to R/C.

Think about the marketing possibilities: Full size car “Motor Heads” that can’t justify an 8mpg “Hot Rod” vehicle with today’s gas prices. Not to mention the insane cost of building, maintaining and campaigning a true “Race” car.

Now, if R/C manufacturers offer “Motor Heads” the ability to race a more affordable form of motor sport and what have you got? More R/C racers all over the world.

More R/C racers = more races, tracks, product sales and eventually better purchasing/pricing for all of us.

In today’s current economic climate, the growth of R/C racing into the “mainstream” will depend on exciting & affordable Nitro Powered Racing Vehicles.

As a “Motor Head”, I think Kyosho’s new “Spada” can open a lot of doors of opportunities for R/C racing.

I wish we could have had the Spada at the RC Pro Homestead race, the crowds would have gone nuts over them.

I'm ready to buy one!

Oh, I'm glad you brought that up. We have the perfect product. It is called the Mini-Z . You have many many bodies to choose from, lots of option and aftermarket parts.

Click here to watch a few Mini-Zs racing

If you want to improve your driving skills, you need to pick up a Mini-Z Racer. For the Price of 1 touring car you can pick up 3-5 Mini-Zs, and have plenty of money left over to purchase lot of option parts.

What do the last couple of post have anything to do with the new nitro-powered 1/12th scale car? There are mini-z threads on the electric onroad part of this forum if you want to discuss those cars.

Now, back to the topic. My question to Kyosho is when is it scheduled for US and European release and what is the street price to the consumer. I am not a big Kyosho fan but would get one of these because it looks too darn cool and looks to be a blast to drive.

From the looks of the pictures, it looks like the car is finished. This doesn't look like some pre-production proto-type. It is production. All the parts look like they were tooled (from molds & dies). Not CNC'd specials. So where is it huh? Why the delay? Whats the one item that is holding up the completion? Which one fell off the Gant chart? Is it the fuel tank? It looks somewhat "white-ish" to be production to me. Who ever was in charge of that should be fired! Either that or find another vendor!

Okay. I'm done with my anticipation angst. Guess I'll have to wait. Tim, if you happen to have a bag of Spada parts with no box or instructions, I'd be willing to take that.

If you read the post that I quoted you will understand. All part of the thread

For US release I understand mid/end summer. I should have something more concrete in the coming weeks, along with pricing.
