There are a few modded Sirio 09's like Kondo and BLee Racing. But, if you want a different motor, but direct fit, the Charge AMR09CZ. They make the engine mounts for this engine and it has a 2 needle carb, unlike the single needle Sirio. I haven't heard anything on the Charge engine yet though.
Is the only place to get the S09r from the-border.nl or is it available in Japan?

This is where I originally got mine:

http://www.egrracing.com/shop/gp09-r...et-p-2160.html

I think they're are a bit less with shipping from Japan, but the shop I deal with is is not as easy as to order from.

What throttle servo is in it? If its a Futaba servo, the stock stock T shaped horn from the S9351 & S9350 servos is the exact throttle horn needed as shown in the instruction manual.

Is it worth the price over the stock motor? Also, I was wondering whether or not you had any opinions on the Kyosho pipe (sdw011) vs the stock and chrome pipe? tx.

Hi Carl, and whoever else might be interested, I have a New Factory sealed Kit (KYO#31221), that I obtained for spare parts, but have never needed to open. These Cars are pretty durable, except the bodies, but now that the bodies are available seperate, I really don't need this extra Kit. Our outdoor race season has already ended, so the oppertunity to shop the car to local racers is not so good right now. So if anyone is interested, I paid $270 w/shipping from HK, I would like to get that plus shipping if possible. Shoot me a PM if interested. Also, it is very cool to see renewed interest in these Cars, my grandson and I just love them.

Kyosho King Pins (SD020)
Kyosho Front Springs (SD021) (2x)
Kyosho Rear Drive Belt (VZW201)

Kyosho Radio Plate Set (SD003)
Kyosho Alloy Front Axle Mount (SDW001)
Kyosho Alloy Center Axle Mount (SDW002)
Kyosho Alloy Rear Axle Mount (SDW003)

There may be some other odds and ends in there but I think this covers most of it. I will throw in a 8"x12" sheet of 2mm carbon plate for making custom braces or other parts. Also will include a LOSI tank for the Zoot conversion.

I have over $800 in everything not counting the carbon plate or shipping costs from Japan and Hong Kong. A real steal at $450. Buyer to pay actual shipping cost.

PM me if you are interested.

Greg

I haven't tried it, but, it takes the pressure line far away from the rear tire... that is a plus. I always battle the pressure line being rubbed (possibly leading to a leak and loss of pressure) by the rear tire.

It also looks cool so it must be better....

What servos are you guys using for this car?
Which provide enough if not more strenght and holding power and no mod drop in
I realize its a 1/12 scale but dont like to buy something twice
I've done that to many times already
Also I see that sirio s 09-r motor is getting some attention
Is it that the stock motor is under powered or what ?
Also I read on another tread that that motor has a carb leak issues
I dont know the facts, just gathering info
