I just took the threaded wire that they include in the kit to my LHS and found some Lundsford that matched the length.

Ordered some carbon fiber sheet, but, in the mean time for this sundays racing, I have put some tie rods from the top deck to front bearing carriers

I went to the taller second gear pinion... for the larger tracks I wish there was a smaller spur gear set... the car was wound all the way up about half way down a 190' straight.. I held my breath hoping that the con rod wouldn't snap... taller gearing will be needed for larger tracks... but on the infield.... a total blast...

I plan on picking up one of these in the next week or so, something to play with......I will be cutting my own carbon fiber parts for the car and see a couple areas that I might take a look at extending the upper deck to the front bulkheads....but is this going to add too much stiffness? also, the tank conversion will be integrated into the new parts for a more finnished look. What is the chassis thickness? I can go thinner or thicker for more tunability, and also, the front chassis brace that goes from side to side....how about the idea of 3 pieces instead of the one? Would building a cross bar and 2 upper suspension plates that have additional holes for adjusting camber work? Or just doing the upper deck extension work for that....soo many ideas, just need the car in my hands.

Hi, the chassis is 2mm.
As for how much flex is right, generaly the higher the traction/grip your track has, the stiffer the chassis needs to be for consistany. The idea of a single top plate sounds good, see attatch pic for one possibility.

randy Smooth, I'll be at the winternats for the next 8 days.....I can cut the parts for the bike for you....they will be one off customs.....If you get a spada, let me know, I'll be looking to pick one up very soon. Something that would be awsome on ronnies track. If you want, call me...I've pm'd you my number.
