Haven't braved the Losi tank conversion yet?? 15 min run time....

The blue head really helps keep the temps down. Looks good.

I can't speak for others... I used an OFNA box... it needs to have a thinner wheel. I had to rig the wiring as the chassis isn't long enough to hit the switch on a 'normal' box. I did see somewhere a plate that accomidates the shortness of the chassis and still hits a conventional starter. Again... the wheel width needs to be pretty thin.

Are they worth it?? I love mine. Raced it against 19T pan cars last fall in it's first outing. Just got back from running it at the Silverbowl track in Vegas... runs great!!

The Spada had its first race today, I was the only nitro 12th, so was in with the 1:10th nitro tourers.
It was another cold day, just 6 dgrees C and a strong wind too, so i had to watch for gusts blowing me off line...
I'am was using 16% Tornado fuel, and with the engine setup, a full tank was lasting me just over the 5 minutes qualifying time luckily, i set my best time in round 2 (see attached) I qualified 3rd in the "A" final in the end.
In the 15 minute final I got a good start through to second place, then I took the lead after a mistake from the pole man...then weaving through slower traffic I got tagged out (accidently) and the drive belt jumped off the front pulley...dnf
There was a lot of interest from people at the club, and some have said they will get one now.
I lent my camera to a club member to film the final, its only some short clips, but you can see theres not much speed difference.

Did chassis flex cause that belt to jump? That was one of the reasons that I run a brace on the top from the mid bulkheads to the front bulkheads. Eliminates ferward flex.

yeah I think it was the flex, but I would like to keep some of the front end chassis flex with out the belt tension being effected...
I thought about putting a link from the aerial post to the front top plate, not sure at the moment...
I mocked up what it would look like in the pic...

I bet on strengthening the fore to aft while allowing side to side twist.

Just thought i would stop by to let you guys what going on with me. Anyway i am leaveing Rainbow on the 20th. Sorry but im doing so much work here that i have decided to go at it alone with my own on line RC shop. I was hoping to support the Spada but the money isnt there. So there are not any Spada parts on my website. But that isnt to say taht i cant get the Spada parts you need. I am ordering all of my stock form the same places Rainbow does. I learned a few things while working there. So if you need something just let me know It only takes a day or two to get parts and i should be able to match Rainbow prices and the shipping would be the same.
Working at Rainbow i have learned a few things extra. So if you can wait a day or two i can take care of the Spada stuff. I might even get some spare time to enjoy mine again.
I will give you guys a link when its finished, but for now is half finished,so you will have to wait.
Thanks to everybody that ordered from Rainbow.I have enjoyed helping you get the parts you need.

I think on RC tech we have the most modified and thought out Spada`s in the world.
