I got this bumper in, not much say as its just a bumper. Its 3mm plastic something and it pretty flexiable. But held its shape in the lets see how far i can bend it test.
But as i have broken my bumper i might have to get one of these.

What nitro % are you guys using? I normally use 30% in my 1/10 & 1/8, but I think it might be a bit too much for this little monster...I'm think 20%.especially since I don't have any head shims for this motor.

Also is anyone using the tuned version of the sirio .09 with black case and blue head? If so how different is the performance?

Thanks.

Use 15% to 20% nitro fuel. 30% is way too much nitro for that small of an engine. I helped a friend break-in an engine for one of the nitro 18s made by Xray. We experimented with both 20% and 30% fuels. 30% jumped the temps 25 to 45 degrees above using 20% fuel. So, if you want to keep your engine for a while, use no more than 20% nitro fuel.

I ran three back to back 15 minute sessions at our track with:

the blue head
30% fuel
the Losi fuel tank conversion

Car was responding briskly, shifting consistantly and running cleanly for all 15 minutes.

Head temp never got over 200F.

The blue head made a big difference. 30% ran fine.

Your actual mileage may vary...

One thing to remember. With the stock tank you will only get three minutes (or so) of clean running. Then it will start lean bog (ping). With the leaning the temps climb rapidly.

How is the top end on this motor...rpm??? i saw video where it looked like spada was keeping close watch on some RRRs. Kyosho indicates about 27mph+ for the mini inferno, but that's a buggy...jsur curious since I haven't started mine yet.

I have no idea on the rpm or speed. It was a tad (quantifiable?) slower than a 19T 1/12th pan car on the straight. That is the only thing that I have run it against.

You better believe it those will end up on ovals immediately!

Default Engine Lag???

I've only gotton 6 tanks through this little monster, but it does appear to have a lag on the bottom when you punch the throttle.

1) Is this normal b/c there's no bottom-end neeedle?

2) Is this simply a function of my running in the engine rich at 3.5 to 4 turns on 2the top?

Also it didn't appear to shift into second (which could be driven by my two earlier points) , but I'll reset the set screw to stock and I'll try again.
