So is there a weight benefit to the stainless? I just got a futaba 9452 today and I don't want it to damage it because I didn't use the isolators.

i think stainless is heavier but stronger. i had a set of RCScrews for a buggy, i noticed the metric tool sets had a bit of play. the screws are infact imperial i believe and they use the sizes that are very close to 2mm (infact just a fraction bigger) and the same goes with the 2.5mm screws or 3mm screws i believe. this is the case with the buggy, and i suspect it's the same with the mtx4 2mm screws (ie imperial, not metric)

buy the 5/64 imperial hex keys and you will notice they fit perfect.

I used the 9451 for a year without the isolators (on steering) and now I use the 9452.... also without the isolators.

the answer is "NO" G4 belt is shorter than MTX-4 belt. I just compared them for you

Thanks heaps, saved me from buying one and trying it myself. Cause i read that the v1 rrr belt fits (nitrokb) , and you can get belts that fit the mtx3, g4 and v1, so i thought they were interchangeable, thats all.

Yes.. the rubber thingys that no one uses. I actually did use them a few years ago, but decided I did not like the little bit of flex that came with using them.

With the design of the servo savers these days, mounting the servos using a screws with a bigger flat head to mount them into position solidly is the best way to get a consistent, precise operation from the servo!

Gone are the days when manufacturers mounted the servos into position with Zip ties! I kid you not!
These days there isnt enough room in the top tourers mounting area to use these Rubber grommits.

i use the rubber gromets. i also use a countersunk screw with a countersunk washer to give the screw a larger surface area to press down on. works fine. I also use the coper tubes that come with the servo also

Thanks everyone. I will try the rubbers for now, and pull them out if I notice any play. It seems VERY SOLID now even with the rubbers. My last servo was hard mounted and I broke both ears?? Thanks again for the info.
