I would start with 2mm above ride height. Take your ride height(RH) gauge and measure the RH. Say it's 5mm, then lift the chassis. Chassis should lift to 7mm RH before the wheels leave the setup board.

my 2 cent, the car is just good enuff not to strip all the time, but with the .8 gears, and something in the drive train, the gears just strip.

every screw must be tight, and bulkhead must stay in good shape. plus the motors getting stronger and more torque happy.

what are the factory guys doing?

Exactly how I've been setting up my mesh. The paper trick doesn't work on Mugen which is why people still strip gears. Just set the second gear mesh first, then install the 1st gear spur and you're done. End of stripping problems, unless you forget to tighten and threadlock the chassis side engine mount screws.

does anyone know a good way to get a little more turn in? My setup is working well at the moment and both on-power steering and steering under brakes are good, but my car pushes a when entering corners off throttle. Vitals are as follows:

front spool, 50k rear diff
1.5 deg rear toe
1 deg front toe
c ackerman plate
1mm spacer in front of front arms (caster)
4deg rear camber, 2 deg front
light blue front springs, dark blue rear
50wt shock oil, stock pistons drilled out to 1.2mm
front and rear shocks on middle holes
front sway flat, rear sway half up
lowest rear hinge pin location

obviously track is high grip (VHT)

Originally I had the front arms further back and moving them forward helped a bit so I was considering putting them all the way forward.

more steering at mid cornering off or half throtle : try one of the following

1. More caster ( more laid back )
2. I don't know A or B or C Ackerman block but you should look for the straightest steering linkages if you see from above.
3. Front tires : 1 degree toe out
4. Increase the height of upper front arm position by another 1mm

I think that's what I'm going to do with my MRX4-R. I'm having trouble with mid cornering too. I checked with Solhman, number 4 can help more steering off throttle.

I would do this first. Or you can try the 0.5mm shims to dial it in.

yep, totally agree with Roger: front roll center is highly overlooked

I went from 1mm to 2mm and I could really feel the difference. only drawback is the car feels a little lazy in the chicane.

Try removing all the spacers out and go one shore softer in the front tires. You will gain steering w/ the softer front but still have the car run real flat and reactive. If you already like the set up and don't want to go to a softer front tire then just stand up the front sway bars

Thanks both are good ideas, I'll have to try them next time.
