As Scott and Solo say,
No need for many hopp ups, just get the titanium gear to lighten up the mtx4r and your good to go!
Also get some option pinions/ spurrs for tuning setup options!
Cheers
Joe

Is there a good place to go find a good amount of info on the MTX-4R? I've checked around, and most of the places were very hit or miss. Even the main mugenseike website was kinda scant on info.

Just looking for a good amount of pics and info in the same place if possible.

What track do you race at? I found the box set up to be spot on for most tracks with maybe a change in droop and tire shore and size.

the only thing I really keep an eye on is my clutch settings. I pretty much use swaugers standard setting but just a little bit looser on the clutch spring and the weights drilled out but just a hair smaller than what Mike Swauger and the rest of the mugen guys drill thiers out to....

Hi Francis,

I have a question.

What will happen if I add more downstop value ( lets say from 0 to 2 on Hudy block ) at the front suspension only ?

Will it produce faster cornering speed at entry and exit ?

Obviously I am not Francis, but this is what will happen. When you add more downstop value in the front the effect is the front arms will not hang down as low.

Under acceleration this will no allow the front of the car to raise as much (which transfers weight to the rear. You will have more weight on the front and less transferred to the rear. (More on power steering, less on power rear grip.)

It should in theory give faster response but you have to be careful not to over due it since you might have the front react fast but have the front wash out and push. What I basically do is to set my car with the arms lower and just keep raising up the arms until the car settles down a bit.

What I basically do is to set my car with the arms lower and just keep raising up the arms until the car starts gaining corner speed with out pushing or doing weird stuff.
