Also take in to consideration your tires.. most tires come at 64.5-65mm... most people run tires between 60-62 to start with.. Obviously tire size till affect your min ride height...

Questions??

Hey guys,

Having some issues with engine mounts moving, I have the one piece Kawahara mount and I am sometimes stripping 2nd also.

I also have the Kawahara 4mm Chassis, steel pinions .etc

So today whilst racing I stripped 2nd, pulled it off, fixed, meshed (by taking 1st off) and then locktited lower engine mount screws (top are already done) and within about 5 minutes its moved and started to strip them again (saved :P).
Tightened up, re-locktited (had dried for 30 mins) and then I drove around in 2 small circles and it did it straight away.

I have had previous issues with 2nd gear stripping as stated before..

Any possible fixes?

Thanks,
Cameron.

Hi Camo
Check that the screws on the back of the engine mount and motor are not to long and touching
you can tighten the screws as much as you like but they will not tighten and sandwich the mount to the chassis because they bottom out on each other
Just an i dear

The top screws are 12mm and the bottom are 8mm but you may need to use 10mm screws in the top rear to get the clearence even if you are using the split washers that come in the kit!

It was an opportune time to have a rest at the cafe and read the news while sipping on a cuppa!
You guys must have been under the weather if you only stayed for a few minutes, we weren't gone that long!

when using tires out of the box, 65mm, the minmum ride height I can get is 7mm front and 8mm rear.
I dont have a tire truer to make the tires smaller in order to get 4mm front and 5mm rear ride height. What other methods are there to make the tire diameter smaller besides tire truers?
I managed to lower the ride height couple of mm by setting the shock collars such a way that there is a gap between the springs and the collars. Will this work?

it works i think, and you can make your tires smaller by driving the car

Yes have to agree with you it was the weather to kick back and relax
Yes we did have a few to many
The bench racing was incredable
I think the Green Machine wanted the Chook under the weather so he slipped him the old red bull with something in it' so he might have a chance to race him
SURE AS if that would happen..... NOT
