surprised ppl are having problems with 2nd gear, i'd always heard of this problem before i bought a mugen so was a bit paranoid at first but with the kawahara mtx4 1 piece engine mount and the CF middle brace i've only stripped 2 in 5 months, the first was because i didnt tighten the engine bolts enough, the 2nd was because i rushed doing the mesh and 2nd was too close. People usually see my mesh and say it's too loose but since i did my mesh properly and tightened the f*** out of the engine screws i've run the same spurs for months. this is all with the 3mm chassis by the way

I start racing nitro in January 2004.

From 2004 to 2007, I broke two 2nd spur gear and one 2-speed clutch.

2004 : MTX3, 2 speed clutch, the balls got stuck inside the clutch, and jammed the 2nd gear.

2007 : G4S, 2nd gear was damage due to improper gear selection between 1st and 2nd, causing too much gap on the 2nd gear.

2007 : MRX4-R, 2nd gear was damage because of engine mounting misalignment after a bad crash.

And I'm still using the same clutch shoe from begining ( except 1 MTX3 car ).
