The Karahara "Zac" are a very good tyre, i use them 99% of the time, good wearing also, i think the difference from what iv'e been told is the strenght of the Rim itself, one is softer than the other, get in touch with Blown SV, he'll be able to set you in the right direction as of the difference between them

Besides the strength of the rim itself, there is a also offset difference.

Kool, thanks for the Kawahara tips.

Does the MTX-4 need an offset rim like the MTX-3 needed? If memory serves me right, the old MTX-3 needed a 2mm offset rim.

Does the MTX-4 use 0mm or does it need offset wheels for optimum width settings?

The GRP tyre on what they call a Mugen Style rim are 1deg offset
I run the B style rim in the Zacs which 1deg off set
hope this helps
It is a matter of choice some change offsets because when you play with track widths it changes the roll centres in the car

it uses 1mm offset wheels as standard, 0mm and 2mm can also be used as a tuning tool if you desire
