I picked up this car with a new .12 xz engine in it 3 years ago to replace my NTC3. I was tired of how brittle the NTC3 was and found this one for a good deal. I never got to run it since some bad things happened with our rc club and i switched from cars to planes. But i have now since gotten back into cars a little just for fun nothing serious. planes is my main hobby. Im looking to get this car up and running and run it a few times this summer. Im wondering how good this car still is and are there any weak points to it. Also what is a good setup for it for outside parking lot asphalt. I race touring 17.5 now. Is this a decent car to run nitro with how is it compared to the NT1

From memory the split in diameter of a MTX4 was 5mm and the Kyoshos may be a 4mm like the team magics of the era, so it wont mesh correctly.

I could be wrong though, I only answered as no one else has. So if anyone has a Kyosho and can measure the diameter difference in the pinions (which is also relative to the spurs) to confirm it. Then there's a clutch bell thread to consider.

Yeah .... i already bought few kyosho rrr 17 and 23 pinion gears, they are in my tool box now ..... i havent open it yet .... thus i dont know if kyosho pinion gears will also fit into mugen clutch bell. Maybe later when in the mood ..... lately i play only 1/8 cars xray rx8. Nice talking to you again .
