Wish I had some ideas for you; but I don't. Good luck with it. I'm looking at the same scenero with running a mugen 4 gear diff. I had to run about 250wt to get the feel of 50wt with the stock parts.

I'm going to do further testing this season.

Pass you soon...

Hey man, I am using Diff-lock in my front diff with Capricorn gears. Since the NT1 diff is so small it might simulate the same problem as the mugen diff being too big for the gears. The diff-lock (from OFNA) feels like 100kish from when I was running the MTX-4R with 100k.

Nice to see the MTX4 still doing so well, makes me happy I bought one, and even more keen to get it out on track.

It is not a bad car at all (I am rolling two of them). Parts and support is still plentiful. Once you find that setup that fits your driving style, others at the track will take notice.

www.Ashfordhobby.com

Robert has been in this for many years, so good info and pricing.
Not affiliated with them, just a happy customer.

Parts support is certainly impressive, in fact I'm stunned by how cheap most parts are out of Japan, done two small orders so far from ProShop-Futaba, and given I'm a cheap bastard, it's got my head spinning over the fact it's looking cheaper to maintain than my G4JS.

I did get a tuning run in late last Friday with it, thanks to some spare parts from friends (and tuning help because I still can't tune worth a damn), what almost floored me was how stupid easy it is to drive, it's not like my G4JS is hard, just the MTX4R seems 'overly' easy.

Got to do some racing with my MTX4R last night, I felt it did rather well, posted some of my best times, it does well at my track.

Downsides, I broke a rear belt during the final, although somehow my lap times did not drop off anywhere near as much as I would have thought?, also I'm unsure about the front spool when it comes to tyre wear, I seemed to have a lot of front tyre wear.
