I would run a diff. You can tune a diff to suit your needs. If you want more off power steering use thinner diff oil. If you new to racing I would run 30K-50K up front. That should get you decent on power and off power steering. A oneway has great turn-in and great power to pull you out of the corners but you have very little breaking power. I believe you will have better success running a diff until you master throttle control. Traction has to be very high to run a spool; also you have to run more on throttle to really see the beneifits of a spool.

Pass you soon...

Yep...what he said and a Solid or a "Spool" is very stable but hard on parts if you like the boards. ha

I don't think I've ever felt the need to go back to a solid axle since trying the front diff. It just makes life easier and the car is actually faster.....

Wow! What a deal. Visit my Web site (in my signature) and take a look at the MTX-4 knowledge base. Also take a look at the nitro engine basics/tuning tips on my YouTube channel.

Hope this helps.

Is that the car in your avatar? if so; That does not look like a Mtx4r

To be honest the image is not clear but I really would like to see the pics a bit closer to actually tell you if you were taken for 50 bucks. I know the car may be replaced and I say may, but it is not that old or obsolete that it should be sold for that little unless the seller was ill-knowledge of what he had in his possession.

Its too good a deal even if it were missing a few parts. If you cant post pics then go on webshots.com and you can post the car pics there and post a link to your page. I hate to sound pessimistic but $50 is to cheap.

I don't want to be a kill joy either. but I checked ebay completed auctions and I did not see a mtx4r nowhere that sold for $50.00. But if is true; good for you and welcome to the club!!!
