I've had 2 ninjas, and really can't say too much bad about them. The first one lasted the whole season at 301 before the rod went early in season 2. I broke the second one in using the Josh Cyrul method, changed the rod afterward, and the engine is still running strong and screams around 301. If you change the rod after break in, you should be fine.

what i have is 18/24 clutch bell gears and 53/59 spurs. will this gear ratio slow down my car on a technical more tight track? or should i go with your suggestion above? i have to mail order all my parts so like to try to get it right or close to right the first order.

a good starting rear diff oil is 30,000.. shocks would be 600 mugen... and your gearing is for top speed. 17,23 and 53,59 is factory hope this help a little

TD,

Looks like you're geared pretty high for a technical tight track. Start off with the gearing Francis or Dman suggested.

If you need an Instruction Manual for the car, you can download it here:

http://www.mugenseiki.co.jp/mugen/do...nual_t0060.pdf

Happy rebuild and hope you have fun with it.

Nope (but thanks anyway)... For the MTX4 (I guess the ashpalt bit was not needed) which is why I posed the question in the MTX4 thread.

I am wondering what sort of changes the quick guys would make for rubber tyres.

the reason why i asked was the rubber part, thought you were talking about elec. never seen them on one in the states
