That is what I am waiting on!
perhaps due to your desired to your clutch gap you were using several washers in the thrust bearing so no matter what you do the engine move no more forward
always try to use no washers in this part since the more washers the less chance to obtain perfect alignment on my gear mesh so basically i play with
a shim made from lexan of about 3 -6 mm, i placed it between the pressure plate and the clutch shoe, besides giving some more xtra life to the shoe, it allows to have no washers in the thrust bearing and my gap is about 4 7 depending basically on how thick the lexan washer is, works perfectly and never had a single problem, give it a try

Yes, I'm still owning NT1, MTX4 and MTX3.

Lately I don't race rc car as frequent as before. ...... somehow I lost appetite to play rc cars.

Btw, Yung2, Daniz24, and Sadikin, they open new race track. Slightly bigger than JITC, but more technical layout. Something like Kissimee, Florida.

The kit comes with black pads. I have a set of the blues, but haven't tried them yet, but i'm using the yellow. Yellow is teflon and won't absorb oil or fuel. As far as I know, the yellows are the best to use.

I want to say the blue pads are actually stock in the MTX4R, but I have to double check. I vaguely remember mine being blue, and I haven't changed them all year. But I'm getting old and could be very wrong!
