Pass you soon...
im super late on this question, but along with the mounting location to the upright man body and the arm portion, if you look at the re-enforcing brace where the R and L are stamped on the uprights. the 138 has the R and L clearly stamped. the 138Bs, have the R and L cut off about half way.

i am out of the 164s so i cant say how to tell them apart

peace out homeys

Better late than never. So your saying the 138B's have a partial "R" and "L" stamped on them and the 138 are clearly stamped. Is this correct??

Thanks for your input

Well, I just went and checked the parts; and you are correct. The original 138's have a full R and L stamped on them The uprights on the car have the letter's only partial stamped. So it seems that all of my spares are 138's and the one installed on the car are 138b's. I also checked the linkage mounting point of the two; and they are totally different between the two. Well needless to say I will probally toss all of my spares (5 sets of left and rights) I like the steering feel of the 138b's and I don't want to run into a situation of having mix-match uprights on opposite sides of the car. I also think I have the wrong lower arm installed on the front because when I go to full lock the steering linkage hits the lower arm.
Anyone looking for some to-138's for a steal shoot; me a pm otherwise they are headed to the round file.

Thanks a million gentlemen

Pass you soon...

I have quite a few MTX4R parts for sale. Search MTX4 in the for sale section. Thanks.

Default getn dialed in

My car seems to always inherit a push, if not immediately, after a few laps. Low speed acts like it is pretty close but I definitely canít carry too much speed into a corner, or it will push out easy.
Any help is good.
Good prepared surface

Front toe: 1.5 out (maybe the issue?)
Camber: 2
600 oil, stock piston
Center shock position
Front multi diff, locked
Stock steering ackerman
Caster clips, one large and one thin one front side, single thin on rear
2mm roll center shims
Sway bar parallel
Droop: 1

Rear toe: 3.5-4.5 in
Camber: 4 and coning well
600 oil, stock piston
Rear diff 50k I think, one step thicker than stock
Shock position: at the top or one from top right now
Rear roll center at bottom
2mm camber shims
Stock sway, softest setting
Droop: 3

Light blue springs front and back
Stock pulleys

Running 40/42s and 42/45s

.

.
I am not an expert but no harm trying these

Front toe: 1.5 out
Camber: 1
600 oil, stock piston
Center shock position
One way
steering ackerman A
Caster clips, stock
1mm roll center shims
Sway bar 45 deg
Droop: 1

Rear toe: 2.5 to 3 in
Camber: 4 and coning well
600 oil, stock piston
Rear diff 30k
Shock position: Stock
Rear roll center at bottom
2mm camber shims
2.2 sway bar, if using adjustable 45 deg
Droop: 4

Light blue springs front and back
Stock pulleys

Running 40/42s and 42/45s

Change one thing at a time.
I always try not go too far away from the stock setting which works pretty well for most tracks. So that is what i will do.

Have fun.

I never liked running more than 2-2.5 deg of rear toe. The car always pushed for me.

I hated the bottom rear roll center position, it too pushed. Car just would not rotate mid corner or corner exit. Try middle or upper position. 3 droop is what I usually ran. Camber seems ok as well.

3mm droop rear

and what up front?

i think i have gotten so far from stock that i created my own issue. i added the extra toe to get it to rotate. i should have tried something else when i saw it getting to be too great.

0 or 1 on the droop up front. Biggest bang for the buck for me was raising the rear lower pins. Like I said try middle first.
