you should be able to have a little up and down play, not alot but a little. You didnt get a hlod of a rock did you. QUuick question, can I make a spool out of the one way that is included in the kit? I really dont wanna spend 4o bucks on the spool and was hoping someone could suggest a way of doing it with the one way.

Well, guess what, I stripped my second gear yesterday. Bad thing is I was only tuning the engine on the starter box for about 3 minutes and I noticed hearing a noise. So Im stumped like the rest of you guys now

You dont need to spend 40 bucks to get a spool... You can use a diff casing with a block instead of gears to create a spool. Im going to warn you that if you use the casing provided by mugen (the plastic one), it might strip. You can try using 3racing's one which i believe is like $15 bucks.

Other thing you can do... Is use epoxy and glue the outdrives into the one way. Or if you can manage your way into getting a power drill and drilling two holes into the one way so you can place pins in order to stop the outdrives from moving is another way to convert it to a spool. Hope this could help.

The oneway that is in the kit can be converted into spool. It has holes to put pins and lock it and there are 2 big orings tha hold the pins. At least that is how mine is.

I believe he has the one-way, not the one that can be converted into a spool.

yeah I just have the oneway now. I had a mtx4r and was running the spool up front. Like a idiot I sold it. And my 4r drove much better to me with the spool in stead of the one way. Right now I just have a regular mtx4

+1

Im still using the standard rear sway bar setup, it works fine. I don't really see any real big advantage running the blade type.

When i used to run the MTX-4, i never changed the wire roll bar. Now with the Kyosho RRR, i changed the blade to wire too.
