If I had the cash I would be well into that hobby. As a student, little "cheap" cars are the only thing I can afford at the moment. I looked into Karting and its quite pricy. One day though I will do it. From what I have seen there is two words that come to mind. !!!$@!!##$!!ing awesome!!

I went from karting to rc

Stopped racing karts and got a rc car to bash around, then got hooked into racing rc when some racers were practicing one weekend when i turne up to have a bash at the local track and said to come out next race day... that was 12 years ago lol...

I raced RC in Dallas where I used to live for a few years (off & on-road), then I moved to Phoenix, AZ and didn't really see much of an on-road racing scene, but I did find the Karting track which was awesome. Ebayed all my RC gear and purchased a kart (you'd be surprised how close the hobbies really are)..

Over a year later, relocated to Ohio, didn't readily find the karting tracks, but found Joyce Park and the Hamilton On-Road RC track.. Sold the Kart and bought RC gear!!!

Karting is awesome, but this old body of mine now prefers to bang up lexan rather than abrasion suits!

Hmmm, maybe there is something to the old saying "location, location, location"

Damn karting looks a hell of alot funner if there is such a word. Anyways I've always been intrested in karting although not too sure how much a shifter kart would run for. Anybody got ideas or websites where they can direct me? Coz physically being in the car is a real racing style, the faster the response the faster I can get mine LOL!

Default Karting

I raced 2 cycle open karts for 15 years and then started rc racing. The karts are a great place to start racing as they teach you the basics but rc cars have many more adjustments and are great fun.

I raced on road for over 10 years and final quit and got into karting 3 years ago. I don't seem to spend as much time wrenching on my kart compare to my mod and stock touring cars. You can check out www.ekartingnews.com if you are interested in karting or pm me if you have any question.
