hey im new here, but know ofna ob4 for 15 years. i use to race there a lot before when it use to be a modified tennis court. its changed a lot now. its real great.

we just need help to keep that track clean. if we all get some brooms, and a leaf blower and maybe some traction stuff (little soda will do) it will be a great track.

I even raced my t-maxx on there with my .21 kit, and suspension work. if theres some off road guys in here we'll make a miny off road track out side the onroad track.

The guy that got that track started is losing faith there cause he try to get somethings going there and not to many people pull through.

but me and ofna is trying to get it going again. me and rich will talk and try to get a final day. you guys can put some days you think wil be better.

BARCAR tried to have regional race there last year but had to change the venue due to towns restrictions. There were more than enough ppl interested in racing there. Read this post from last september: http://www.rctech.net/forum/showpost...87&postcount=9

BTW, NECAR will have races near Hartford, CT this year:

NERCAR is back for 2007. We have scheduled the following one-day
events:
April 15
May 6
June 3
July 8
August 12
Sept 16

200MM TC and 1/8th scale (INS boxes required for 1/8th scale)

Location:

UTC Power Corporation
195 Governors Highway
South Windsor, CT 06074
We will have more information posted on www.nercar.com

FYI, South Windsor is about the same distance from BPT as Brooklyn is, minus tolls. I was racing in Brooklyn last year and plan on doing so this year as well, and I'm from mass... I raced at bpt couple of times last year before all the problems started and racing was put on hold. Unless something changed, I don't see big races happening there.

Well i think if we can get a couple of guys to maintane the place it can be a great track to race at.

i just hate to see a track go to waste with tags and broken bottles all over the place.

Hell if we wanted to make it more fun lets throw a few pocket bikes into the mix.

Believe it or not the track stays pretty clean. It's not littered as I'd think it would being smack dab in the city. Only the jungle gym for the kids has graffiti on it.

Glad to hear Nercar is back. I raced there when you guys were off Exit 17 off 84. The surface was bad, but for 1/8th scale it meant a place to race besides Edison. More races = more fun. How far is this new location from the Bronx? Can I get to it from the merrit? I hate 95.

Paul -
that schedule was posted by Ralph M. in this thread. I'm also glad they're back after last year's break. Click here for directions, I think you can take merrit instead of 95 all the way to 91. Should take less than 2 hrs.
See you there!
