Your crankshaft in your SX12 RE Turbo is most likely the 2146 cranskhaft which does not have a turbo scoop.

If you want to upgrade that, you can get the 2148 crankshaft which has the additional turbo scoop or the 2149 crankshaft which includes a turbo scoop PLUS the fact that it also has a bigger inlet

You can put and exchange out your 3 port sleeve to a 5 port one (2133). Should work straight out. However, if you look at the parts list of a 5 port Novamega engine, you will notice that they include the 5 port and the new 3 port RACE engines with the 2149 turbo crankshaft with the big inlet. I think the 5 port sleeve would be take advantage of the bigger inlet of the crankshaft.

2133
EURO 89.15

2148
EURO 40.34

2149
EURO 42.61

Prices are from rccarinternational and without tax.

Of course, if you run on a large track, generally there should be some noticeable performance increase. But all this boils down to if you already gotten the right engine settings.
