1/8th onroad is louder than 1/5th gas motors. Especially the sirios...

I've heard them and no I don't find them to be so obnoxious...*shrug* I don't care either way I run .12 lol

I just think it's a little bit too picky.

I was reading one of the recent EFRA meeting notes and I read something that they were going to start mandating black pipes at some point in the future since they are so gung ho about noise reduction. Granted this is only EFRA, but the rest of the world organizations including IFMAR tend to take their queues from them.

Times they are a changin'!
INS Boxes ad 3 chamber pipes are already mandatory if running under EFRA regulations.
Next year they are going even further, by specifying more internal measurements within these 3 chamber pipes.....
year 2007 will be a year that the engine manufacturers can test and develop there engines and new pipes according to the new regulations. In 2008 everybody running under EFRA regulations need to run with the new pipes.....

it might be a little picky but where i race, some of the local residents have already complained about the noise so the only way 1/8th can run is with an INS box. this way the club covers it's a$$ if there are more complaints and the council decides to shut down the track.
IMO, the INS box is the lesser of the two evils...
