Default Clinging sound comming from the flywheel and spur gear

I noticed while running my car today that the flywheel and spur gear are making a clanging sound. like metal on metal. Could they be loose?

It only happend if i manually push it while in neutral or when i press on the gas and it starts to go. during idle, everything seems normal.

the flywheel is probably loose. you need to take off the clutchbell and tighten down the pilot shaft with some threadlock

mine is a HPI nitro MT RTR and i'm not done breaking it in... is that a clue that the idle is too high since it is my first RC vehicle I dont know all the little things that experts do. and it does away sometimes when I can slow the engine down enough.

no, at idle the car doesn't move. it did at one time, but i fixed it. then the screws vibrated loose that connected the exhaust to the engine, so i had to take the motor off and ever since then while trying get the flywheel to the spur gear i have been having all sorts of problems. the current one being the clanging sound while its moving. i can't seem to align them correctly i guess.
