Novarossi or RB pipes. I use the RB X12 with a Nova based MT12.

Moon

Paris Turbo ring with that engine? You must run on a really really small track. No need for top end huh?
BTW new plans. Visiting in January 2002.

Sharp,
I prefer Mugen any day over Kyosho, but just giving you a fair outline between the two cars. Most people who own Mugens will say 'get mugen' and most that own Kyoshos will say like wise.

Just do the following :

-Research how much parts are in your area and how easy is it to order parts.

-What car is more popular at the track, and which is the better performer (eg certain cars handle better on certain tracks)

Novarossi actually manufacturer the parts for 99% of all engines on the market. Novarossi actually takes credit for RB's Championship wins on its website.

At the moment, the quickest legal RB is the X12, which is about 1.15hp. The quickest legal Novarossi is the JP Modified RS-12 (which pushes about 1.4hp)
I would love to try RB (good friends with the distributor here) but until they bring something out which generates the same power (which is legal not like there 5 port), I'll stick to Novarossi
Both MTX2 and VoneR are good cars, go get them !

I must admit, I've owned the following pipes:

Novarossi 51602
Novarossi 51603
RB Chrome RBX12

I would rate the RB pipe to be the best. It seems to give the best combination of bottom and top end. Note however, that any one of these pipes are extremely good.

Chrome pipes (from what I've been told by the 1/8th guys) are better because they have a 'cleaner' air flow passage. Thats why you'll notice that a majority of 1/8th pipes are chrome. Plus they look better

(regardless of what pipe I use, my lap times do not alter, so its not too signicifant what pipe above you choose)

You guys've ever heard of FIVE STAR pipe?? It is very expensive (6000yen) and I have seen that this pipe works very well with all novarossi based engine. the engine becomes very fast but keeping your engine temp at around 100'c in hot summer days.

Too bad you can't get a Richey modified. JP? JP who?

Oh sorry to correct you Novarossi but the X12 isn't chromed. Its polished.

Dude,

why go pull start man?

The quickest pullstart is a 1hp (or there abouts) and are heavier.

Trust me - save save save, and go for a non-pull start.

6000 yen is not expensive. It's about $48 US. That's how much an X12 is.

NR are those braces standard or Kyosho options, where on net could I find info? Thanks everyone for help.
This a another very useful site for technical information about centax...based on the old PB racing...

I would urge you to get the chrome sleeve version. Granted it's more and harder to break-in but chrome is harder, will wear longer and is more heat resistant than Nickel.
