Not so good news.... just got up, and it's raining outside. The tv weather report does not look promising.

I guess the plan is to go get breakfast, and head over to the track and see what the plans are.

First of all I have to say a big "Thank You" to Roger E. Williams and his helper Ted Hammer. Of course there are many people from the club that help but those guys keep it all together so that all of us can enjoy a great track and a great event. Thank you!

Looking at the results there are a couple of interesting things I noticed:

There were 18 guys that went 17 laps or faster in 1/8th and 3 more in Masters, plus two more that went 16 in 5 minutes flat......that's a lot of fast guys!

Man are the sedans getting fast! The times of the the top cars are about the same as a 1/8th car from just a few years ago, and as fast as some of us go today! Their fastest laps are crazy fast...18.4 to 18.6 by several of the guys.

Sunday was on and off rain all day. With zero chance of the rain stopping, everyone got to enjoy the raffle (many tables full of r/c goodies donated by all the companies supporting this event). By late morning everything was pretty much wrapped up other than the work of clean-up and putting everything away.

Congrats to Team X-Ray for taking the top five places in sedan. Congrats to Eli Ezrow who dominated the Masters class, and to Josh Cyrul who put in the only 18-lap run to take TQ honors in 1/8 4WD. Paolo Morganti was also on an 18-lap pace in his last qualifier, only to run out of fuel shortly after Josh did the same thing.

It's a shame we didn't get to run the Mains, but at least we got the full five rounds of qualifying completed. The club did a great job of putting on a wonderful event.

The full write-up, details, and lots more photos will be posted tomorrow. I'm taking tonight off, and getting a good night's sleep.

I just got back home...10+hours compared to the 8.5hours to get there...traffic on I-80 was out of control....

Even though the mains were rained out, Ted and all those who volunteered from the Toledo Club did an outstanding job...THANK YOU. As always I had a great time and the race program was flawless.

Thanks to Josh and Family for trackside support. Besides the air conditioning he had exactly what I needed when I needed it. Credit Card acceptance at track side is a must have for all clubs.

Special thanks to Chavo who kept me supplied with Tornad Fuel and Jack from Jaco...I ran a set of Jaco Tires during my last qualifier and picked up 7+ seconds...would have qualified higher if I'd not run out of fuel...

Also, I'd like to thank Brain Berry and Paul C. for giving me a solid base set-up on the MRX-4R for the Toledo track. I believe Paul will be posting his set-up shortly. (i think the only difference is he ran a 5.5 rear block, which I never got a chance to try)

As always...thanks to Mugen Seiki and KO Propo for their support.

My MRX4R set-up

Oil: 600/800 Fr/rear (stock pistons)
Long wheel base
4.5 rear block
"A" steering block
Width: 253/263 Fr/rear
Castor: 1mm spacer front
Droop: 2/11
Tires: 64.5/71.5
Ride Height: 5mm/6mm
all else - standard settings

Ninja Mario Tuned engine - medium header / alum pipe
Jaco 35 Compound
Tornado 25%
Parma Body

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the drivers who supported our products at this event and made it such a success for JACO. We had 9 out of the top 10 sedan drivers running our tires including the top 7 qualifiers. In 1/8 I'm not sure of the final count, but we did have the top 2 qualifiers. This race was especially fun this year (except for the rain on Sunday) and the trophies for top 3 were incredible. I know all the drivers I talked to were very impressed.
I do want to single out someone here.....congratulations to Ray Darroch for qualifying 4th !!! in sedan at his FIRST gas race ever. He did have wonderful support from his team, but this is an impressive feat, nonetheless.
