1/8th scale bodies

Does anybody have any comments of the following 2 Serpent bodies?

1. McLaren GT1 1/8 body
2. Porsche GT1 1/8 body

I'm a little tired of looking at the typical lola bodies and looking for alternatives that work just as well.

They only look good. There is not enough down force provided with those bodies. Kyosho Dome is the way to go, not to thin, great response. As far as lola goes I like the Kawahara. Peace

I feel the same way :)
What I have been told from people who have used them is....they have a lot more rear down force because of the large rear wing. This could cause cars to push more. Also the motors tend to run a little hotter do to the body style blocking the cooling head.

With that being said...they apparently don't drive that bad.
They were being used a lot in Europe. I tried to order one in September and my reseller has yet to get his hands on one...they just aren't very popular :(

We run a saloon class in New Zealand which uses those bodies. I like the Porsche GT1 and the other guys at my track like the McLaren. They are about .5 second slower per lap on our track then a Can Am body.
