Default Tires

If you go to the Hobby Shack Race what tires would be good the The Fountain Valley racE? I run the NTC3 i was thinking about getting the Vrage again for it . The Rules are No FOAM tires. So What Tires would be good out there and what inserts?

Definitely Sorex tyres on their 28, 32 or 36 compounds, depending the track temps.

For the inserts, Probably I would to choose something like Yokomo ZR-037M inserts or similar.

On a gas sedan, I would ONLY run the Medial Pro IAS tires, the ones that don't need an insert.

Awesome grip, very long lasting and relatively inexpensive.

Sorex works very well for me too. 36R's for mid morning and 40R's for the top of the day heat. I usually use sorex type B firm thin inserts in them.

Default Tires for Hobby People Fountain Valley

THE Tire to use is Take_Off 27-32CS with a medium insert. The surface is smooth to lightly brushed concrete.

Sorex's do not work very well at all on concrete. (tried them)

Team Losi's tires work great on concrete, but are VERY temperature sensitive. (Use to run them ALL the time on concrete)

Pro-Line S-3's, also work good on concrete, but wear very fast, especially in a Nitro car. (Tried them for a while)

I did try some Medial Pro's on my electric car last year (at FV) and they were decent. But the wider Tread scrubs alot of speed in the corners and I doubt they would have enough grip for a Nitro car on concrete.

Nitro Rookie is the only gas class that doesn't allow Foams or 2spd's.
