Default hpi r40 question

hey guys first off i just wanna say hi and hopefully you guys can help me out. right now i have a hpi rs4 belt drive with all sorts of mods 12r rc evo 2 , 2speed that kinda thing. Im looking to upgrade to something much more serious. The car will be used on mostly clean street, and a very nice parking lot. and maybe racing in the future.
my question is, will the r40 stand up to some light street racing in front of my house. the road has just been repaved so its in good shape. does it take the abuse?
if not do you guys recomend anythigng else, id like it to be a big change from my nrs4 so no rs4 shaft drives or the like, i want something more serious and professional. also will parts be available for the r40 in the next couple of years, i tend to keep my cars for 3-4 years before getting newer ones. i just want to make sure the parts wont be hard to locate later on
thanks guys

It'll be ok for the street and what you have described. When/If you plan to race on a more competitive level look at the Pro kits from Mugen, Kyosho, Team Magic, Serpent and the Upcomming Xray NT1.

Any of these will be much more high end but also provide much greater performance for a racer.

All great cars all depends on what kit you can get parts easiest.

The OS TZ is not the motor to get. Its an old model. If you want to stick with OS, get the .12 TZ in 3 or 5 port. You will need the SG shaft version of any motor you buy.

Always good. Actually many engines are taken from Novarossi designs.
