who makes the new RB matrix engine?

Does anyone know which brand is the new RB matrix 12 engine based? I know the old v12 is Novarossi based.

And where can I buy shims for this engine? the v12 nova shims does not fit.

Thank you.

They are Sirio based engines. I bought 2 of them from Brooklynhobbies.com for $259.99. Probably only a places carry them now in the U.S.. Ritchie told me they go blazing fast. I havn't broken them in yet as I'm still building my mtx4 kit.

I have a review of it at 3hobby.net.

You can find it under "Content", or here is the direct link. The engine rocks!

No, I'm not wrong. I said only a few places in the U.S. has them, not "no" places has them. RCthunderhobbies.net is one and there is another place in California (I forget The name) carries them also but are out of stock. They are plentiful in Europe though.

yes i am running one it is made in the star motor factory. it is a larger crank and different timing. they are very tight. they tend to run on the warm side about 250 - 260 and yes they are very fast.
