Yes, very close. It looks like he has been making good progress. If he can improve his lap time by about 0.27 seconds, it will put him in the top 10 based on the current standings. 0.36 seconds will put him into the top 5.

Go Gansei!! You can do it!

Round 1: GUN SOO KIM laps 16 time 5:03.371 best 17.788 spd 57.493
Round 2: GUN SOO KIM laps 17 time 5:10.921 best 17.368 spd 58.883
Round 3: GUN SOO KIM laps 17 time 5:01.139 best 17.394 spd 58.795

Yes, and if the grip levels are still there today then perhaps there's an opportunity.

Not sure if he's having car troubles, he was 21st yesterday and I think dropped one spot today.

Well done Teddy!

And as for looking good for the wedding, this must mean either YOU are the one getting married or you are trying to catch a few bridesmaids?

you are a mind reader. ..... it was my friend's wedding party.

LOL, I'll be the super RC maniac if today is my wedding and I still have time to race Femca yesterday

Here is my opinion about JITC track. The track is easy to drive for newbie or new visitors because : (1) smooth asphalt with high grip, (2) have big radius corners ( wide S corners and sweepers ). However, to master the track, eg. like getting 18 laps per 5 minutes , only few can. Mostly people are getting 17 laps ( including phillip and gansei ) and 16 laps ( super newbee like me j/k )

Well, that's why some racers are called nitro-junkies. They are the ones who will probably go racing on their wedding day!

It certainly looks that way. Many tracks are like that this is why some people are fast at their own local tracks but if they participate in a series race where you have to go to different tracks, the men stand out from the boys because they can learn a track quicker.

The other thing is that in my opinion, its not so easy to go to different countries or even another track in the same country and still perform at your best in nitro because your your engine's performance do change, usually not in your favour too. No doubt the factory boys can do it and some privateers can do it but its not easy for the rest of us.

Absolutely........... that's why I'm not surprised Teddy and Sadikin won. They know every inch of JITC track. Nevertheless I'm glad that Teddy and Sadikin won the race. I also salute overseas racers who come to Jakarta for racing. They are a master driver in their own right. They come here on Monday, given 4 days to test car, and on Friday, Voila !! .... they still manage to race competitively against top locals. Infact, many of group A overseas drivers will find themselves are doing 17 laps easy after Heat 2.

If I have to go racing overseas, Maybe I can't do that in 4 days.
